Boy, Papa hasn't updated in forever. I don't think he's posted any
pictures us now that we live at Nana's
house. He didn't even put up a picture of my new friend
Cathryn. Our new home is great. There's lots of room to play
outside, and the country
is really pretty.
In October, there was this holiday called Sukkot, and my Papa and I
made a Sukkah. I helped
decorate it with fingerknitting braids and paper chains, and I gathered
leaves to put on top.
Later, there was another holiday called Hallowe'en, where I got to
dress up as a witch.
Everybody at
school dressed up, too, and we went to a farm where they made us do chores.
Then my
Nana and my Mama and I went went trick-or-treating at the
nursing home. We had lots of fun and I got lots of candy, and then
we watched
a magic show.
In July, we left our old
apartment. I went back to the picnic tree
and to the playground
before we left, though. I miss it, but I've had a lot of fun since
then. I visited my friend
Alex, and we went to a picnic
and ate cupcakes.
Then Nana gave me the best birthday present ever: a trip to Sesame Place!
We saw the Cookie
Monster, and jumped on Ernie's Bed,
and met Ernie
and Bert. After that, we went up to Boston for a day and got to see
my cousins Zachary
and Nina and my Uncle David and
Aunt Kristin and Uncle Matt and Aunt Ruth.
In June, we had my pre-birthday party with all my friends from
school. I'll miss them. There are Katie, and
Allyson,
and Ava,
and India,
and although we didn't get a good picture of Marissa,
she was there. Mama made a cake that looked like a hot air
balloon! And we got to eat it!
And play with balloons! And I got to wear a chapeau de
fete, too. And there were presents. I really liked living in
Williamsburg.
Lots of stuff happened in May, but my Mama and Papa didn't take very
many pictures of most of it. The May Queen came
to my school! And later, we went to the Blackbeard
Festival.
In April, my friend Alex came to visit, and we had lots of fun,
while Alex's parents had to go to England. They left Mama and Papa in
charge, but we took care
of them.
We consulted
about what to do, and then decided to start a fabulous
singing career. Sadly, we broke up over creative differences; we
couldn't decide which angsty
album cover
to use.
Alex came with me on a school trip to a farm! I milked a cow,
but Alex didn't
want to. The cow was so big I needed help to get on her back.
Later, I showed Alex how to play
croquet. After that, we were tired, so we put our feet
up and had a read.
March was fun! First we went to the beach
at Nag's Head. Mama found crab shells,
and Papa helped me build a sand castle.
There were a bunch of nice people there, but only Elliott let me fly his kite.
And, yes, my parents made me wear snow pants
on the beach, even though I stayed out
of the water.
Then there was Purim, which is evidently a very
silly holiday. My shul had a carnival,
with games and fun. There was a grogger
contest, and I won a
certificate!
In February, I went to Atlanta, where there's an awesome Children's
Museum, where I grew really big
vegetables. They didn't fit on the picnic table,
though. And I got to play with lots of stuff. For some reason, Papa
called these the tools of
ignorance. I also went to a nice park
and to an art
museum.
It was nice to come home, though. I like my school; here's a picture
of me
with a schoolmate. Also in February, my Nana came
for a visit. She gave me a scooter,
but I don't like to play with it much. It's not a really good toy, like
a
cardboard box. Or a barrel.
In January, I went to visit my Grandma and Grandpa. In December, I went up to Boston, where it was snowy. I saw my Uncle David and we let our hair down.
I'm caught up now through Hallowe'en.
October I: I went to DC! To meet my cousins! Hooray!
