Zowie. Human embryo cloned, but (as I'm sure y'all know by now) for purposes of creating new stem cells, not of creating new humans. Senator Patrick Leahy, one of the few politicians who really gets the Internet, has stood up to voice his opposition to this development. Academic paper about it is online, as are zillions of news stories. They really should've waited to announce this 'til the eve of the next Star Wars film's release.
