While I was gone, I had sporadic and minimal Internet access. In the rare moments when I could connect, it was via dialup. I had forgotten just how slow a 56K modem is. I've been spoiled by cable modems. Now I understand why I'm no longer as incensed by spam as I used to be: if you're downloading several virus-laden .exe files every time you dial up, at one to two minutes apiece, it gets real old real quick.
But I'm sure most of you knew that already.
Anyway, I'm home safe, and will be posting notes on my adventures when I get a chance.
