Words easily confused #6

Only one item this time, but it's a remarkably common one:

lightning and lightening. I suppose this should really go in the category of "words easily misspelled," because nobody honestly confuses the two words; it's just that a huge number of people spell lightning with an extra e in the middle, and because lightening is a real word, computer spellcheckers don't flag it.
