Bunny sadness

After various people commented on the cats-with-hats I pointed to the other day (I can't believe it didn't occur to me to call them "hats" instead of "headgear"), it occurred to me to wonder if I'd ever pointed to Oolong the rabbit, the one that balances stuff on its head. (The author's information about the site has been translated into English for those of us who don't read Japanese.)

Turns out I did point to it, way back in September '01, but in the process of looking for that I came across an Oolong fan page in English, which provides the sad information that Oolong died early this year.

In memory of Oolong, I recommend stopping by the Find Oolong gallery, which collects all of the photos of Oolong balancing things on his head.
