One Ring Circus

One Ring Circus shows photos of a (mostly female) fan group who won the costume contest at this year's BayCon; they made and wore a set of costumes of the whole fellowship, and then they performed a filk of "The Pitch (Spectacular Spectacular)" from Moulin Rouge, "as if Peter Jackson was 'pitching' Lord of the Rings to New Line."

Then they took the show down to San Diego ComicCon, and took Best In Show at the costume contest there.

I haven't seen the performance yet—they removed the downloadable video from their site—but it sounds like fun. (I heard about it from one of the performers, who's a friend of a friend of mine.)

Sorry we had to take down the video...we had somebody scam it and enter it into a contest...very bizarre. So we had to take it down for now, unfortunately. It might be possible that the webmasters for O.R.C. (One Ring Circus) could get you more information on the video, or even send it, but I don't know what the policy is at this point and would have to abide by that.

Anyway...we'll be at the One Ring.Net's Oscar Party in Hollywood in February of the new year...so if you were one of the lucky few who got tickets before it sold out, you'll get to see us! (Um...just so I don't sound totally stuck on myself, and the group, let me stress that the reason you'd be lucky is that the party looks to be AMAZING, not because you'd get to see US!)

Take care!

Carolyn (Frodo for the One Ring Circus)
