Short sf

It felt for a few days there like everywhere I turned I was running into some new item relating to short fiction in sf.

First there was the interesting discussion of short fiction reviews that Jim Van Pelt started over at the Rumor Mill. Lots of good pointers there to various reviews and sites.

Then I heard the news that Chris Markwyn is stepping in as managing editor of Tangent Online; I'm looking forward to seeing that august publication return to a more frequent schedule.

And sometime around then, I encountered an interview with Peter Crowther of PS Publishing at Alien Online, in which Crowther talks about "a [new] short story magazine, tentatively entitled Postscripts, which is scheduled to start rolling off the presses in 2004."

It all put me in mind of my first SH editorial, all about how much I like short stories.
