Introduction to HTML

Someone on a mailing list asked about how to create web pages. I dusted off an old intro-to-HTML page I created for a friend back in '97 or so and emailed it to the list, but it just occurred to me that I should probably post it as a web page while I'm at it.

So if you want to learn the basics of how to hand-code HTML, go to my Intro to HTML page, save it as a text file (with a filename ending in .html), and then edit it in a text editor.

Important note; please read: If you get a server error after posting a comment, the comment probably posted anyway. Try looking at this page in a new window to see if the comment posted before you re-post. Sorry about the likelihood of server errors; I'm still not clear on why that happens.
