Temporary blog failure

We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please stand by.

More specifically: Pair upgraded my server to FreeBSD 6.2 this morning, and it appears to have broken my journal. I'm not sure why; some MT blogs on upgraded servers work fine, while others have serious problems. It may take me a while to track down the problem. Presumably it's some Perl code that's fallen afoul of the newly installed Perl modules. I wonder if upgrading to MT3.3 would help.

(I'm not ready to upgrade to MT4.0 yet--mostly waiting for various plugins to be ported over.)

Anyway, if any of you happen to know what might cause this sort of thing, let me know. I would say post a comment, but comments are broken, so send me email instead.

Otherwise, you can enter information about yourself below. All items are optional. Unauthenticated comments on old entries will be held for moderation.

Important note; please read: If you get a server error after posting a comment, the comment probably posted anyway. Try looking at this page in a new window to see if the comment posted before you re-post. Sorry about the likelihood of server errors; I'm still not clear on why that happens.
