This week's SH fiction: "The First Time We Met"

This week at Strange Horizons: "The First Time We Met," by Maria Deira. I'm having trouble coming up with a description that does justice to it, so I'll just say that it's about healing, among other things:

I glanced down at my arm. The gash, which had been raw and red just a few seconds earlier, was gone. The only trace of the wound was a thin white scar that curved along the muscle. "You're welcome," she said.

Also at SH this week: an interview with Sheree Renée Thomas (who's editing a third Dark Matter volume!); a poem by Robert Borski; and reviews of works by Paul Melko, Peter S. Beagle, and (forthcoming) Chris Roberson.
