In April, the Strange Horizons fiction department received 439 valid submissions.
On the one hand, that's an average of about 14 and a half stories a day, which is a significant drop from the 16+/day of the past two months; a relief to have a relatively low-volume month.
On the other hand, it's still the seventh-highest-volume month we've ever had.
