Kam sent me a photo of Black Rock City 2009, apparently from space. Nifty!

At first I thought this was really just an aerial composite photo... then I saw that the url contained "geoeye". Searching for geoeye reveals this is the latest in satellite imaging and the satellite was "joint venture" between the Department of Defense and Google (?! old news from 2008 apparently):
