Yesterday at work, I got half a dozen requests from an automated system to remove Sara's name from various permission files. I knew something like that would happen sooner or later, but it made me sadder than I had expected.
This morning, I'm loving all the fall-foliage photos that friends have been posting. But they're reminding me that my original plan (back before Sara went out on leave and it became clear that she was dying) was to take some time off work this fall and spend a couple weeks in Boston. Maybe next year, after things stabilize a little more in my group at work.
