I once wrote a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/logos\/words\/upper3\/HHHan.html\">column about fortune cookies<\/a>; the below items are probably most of the ones I've saved since writing that column.  My criterion for saving a given fortune is simple and sophomoric: is it at least mildly entertaining when followed by \".&nbsp;.&nbsp;.&nbsp;in bed!\"?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A cheerful message is on its way to you.<\/li>\n<li>The great pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do.<\/li>\n<li>Life to you is a dashing and bold adventure.<\/li>\n<li>Stop searching forever.  Happiness is just next to you.<\/li>\n<li>The time is right to make new friends.<\/li>\n<li>With integrity and consistency&#8212;your credits are piling up.<\/li>\n<li>You are contemplative and analytical by nature.<\/li>\n<li>You are soon going to change your present line of work.<\/li>\n<li>You are very expressive and positive in words, act, and feeling.<\/li>\n<li>Your present plans are going to succeed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And, finally:<\/p>\n<p>Happy events will take place shortly in your home.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While I was digging through piles of paper earlier, I kept coming across fortune-cookie fortunes.
