{"id":11525,"date":"2008-10-09T20:44:53","date_gmt":"2008-10-10T03:44:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2008\/10\/09\/11525.html"},"modified":"2008-10-09T20:44:53","modified_gmt":"2008-10-10T03:44:53","slug":"fake-presidents-unite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/2008\/10\/09\/fake-presidents-unite\/","title":{"rendered":"Fake Presidents unite!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It all started with McCain's ad a couple months ago accusing Obama of being a celebrity like Paris Hilton.<\/p>\n<p>As most of you probably know, Hilton put together an entertaining and surprisingly sharp little response video in which she <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/paris-hilton-fires-back-at-john-mccain\">announced her candidacy for President<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Then a couple of weeks ago, Maureen Dowd printed a piece that was apparently written by Aaron Sorkin, in which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/09\/21\/opinion\/21dowd-sorkin.html\">Obama asks Jed Bartlet for advice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And now, the two threads have come together, in a video in which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/news\/paris-hilton-debuts-second-funny-or-die-video\">Paris Hilton asks Martin Sheen for advice<\/a> on how to be a good fake President.<\/p>\n<p>This is shaping up to be one of my favorite fake-Presidential campaigns ever.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It all started with McCain&#8217;s ad a couple months ago accusing Obama of being a celebrity like Paris Hilton.
