I'm not normally a fan of roasts--they tend to get nastier than I enjoy--but the McCain and Obama comedy speeches\/roasts at the Alfred E. Smith memorial dinner were fun, occasionally even laugh-out-loud funny.<\/p>\n
McCain went first (part 1<\/a>, part 2<\/a>), a total of about 13 minutes. He was followed by Obama<\/a>, speaking for a little over 10 minutes.<\/p>\n I thought they both looked like they were having a fair bit of fun during the first half of McCain's. McCain's piece got a little nasty in the middle, and then there was a longish serious bit toward the end, but still worth watching.
