No specific spoilers here, but there are some general sort of quasi-spoilers. But there are various things, about these shows and about Alias, that I'm carefully avoiding saying here because they would be big spoilers. I imagine that if anyone comments on this entry, they may include spoilers, so beware of reading comments here if you don't want spoilers.

Heroes

I continue to love nearly every scene featuring Hiro. And I still rather like Noah Bennet (a.k.a. HRG), though I've been finding him less interesting lately. But there's pretty much nothing else I like about the show any more. I regularly roll my eyes at the directions the plot takes. I find most of the characters annoying, and even more so given what I see as major character inconsistencies throughout this season--several of the characters can't seem to decide who they are or what they want. I've never liked Sylar, and I like him less the more we see of him. And, on a minor side note, ever time I see Kristen Bell it makes me miss Veronica Mars all over again. So far, Hiro has kept me coming back, but I may be just about ready to give up on the show.

My Own Worst Enemy

The thing that strikes me most about this show, as of episode 5 or so, is just how many elements they're copying from Alias. In fact, I suspect that one of the central holes in the premise is due to copying from Alias: in Enemy, it seems to me that the people keeping the secret have no good reason to do so. I do still like seeing Christian Slater in the dual role, and I still like the idea of the premise (though various of the details are kinda goofy), and I like the actor who plays Tom. But I'm not especially disappointed at this point that the show has been cancelled. Kam has given up on it; I haven't yet decided whether to watch the final three episodes. I wish I knew whether it was going to come to some sort of resolution.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

I'm still really liking this show. The latest episode (the 1920s one) was sort of fillerish, but I really enjoyed it and thought it was very well done. I'm not thrilled with the character of Riley and the central place she seems to be taking, but I like just about everything else about the show. Sadly, Kam is on the verge of giving up on this, because she doesn't believe that the writers have a plan. But I still have faith! (But then, I still have faith in the BSG writers, too.)

A few notes on various TV shows I’ve been watching.
