It's not startlingly original or groundbreaking, but it makes good points and makes them well, and calmly; it gives me more respect for Clinton than I've had in a while.  I particularly like this line near the end: \"Fanatics are defined by their hatreds; free people by their humanity.\"<\/p>\n<p>I'm confused by one bit, though: he says that \"This year one in four people in the world will die of AIDS, TB, malaria or infections related to malaria.\"  That's gotta be a typo, no?  That'd be roughly 1.5 <em>billion<\/em> people; I can't believe that many are going to die of those four things this coming year.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nice speech by Bill Clinton, given at Yale on 10\/6\/01.
