So now I face a difficult decision.  I could buy:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The entire <cite><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/B0000028OU\/ref=nosim\/strangehorizons\">Shoes for Industry!<\/a><\/cite> album from Amazon, on CD, for $17.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/stores\/artist\/glance\/-\/40581\/ref=nosim\/strangehorizons\">entire Firesign oeuvre<\/a> from Amazon, on CDs, for about $100.<\/li>\n<li>Thirteen selected tracks from <cite>Shoes for Industry!<\/cite> from the iTunes Music Store, for $1 apiece.<\/li>\n<li>\"The Further Adventures of Nick Danger,\" by far my favorite Firesign piece, a 28-minute tour de force that taught me everything I know (and then some!) about over-the-top fourth-wall-breaking radio comedy, from the iMS for $1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There's certainly other Firesign stuff I <em>like,<\/em> but \"Nick Danger\" is the only piece I really love, and I could have it immediately for one lousy buck.  Temptation strikes.  But it would be nice to have the other stuff on the CD, and there's a lot of their stuff I've never heard from other albums.  Decisions, decisions.<\/p>\n<p>PS: Yes, I know I passed up several lovely opportunities in the above for Firesign-style puns and asides.  Am in a rush.<\/p>\n<p>PPS: Is Firesign Theatre the closest you can get to hypertext in an audio format, or am I just free-associating?<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m not sure what happened to my cassettes of Shoes for Industry!
