{"id":12424,"date":"2009-10-02T17:40:09","date_gmt":"2009-10-03T00:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2009\/10\/02\/12424.html"},"modified":"2009-10-02T17:40:09","modified_gmt":"2009-10-03T00:40:09","slug":"dear-airlines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/2009\/10\/02\/dear-airlines\/","title":{"rendered":"Dear Airlines,"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Thank you for calling to let me know when a flight is delayed; that's a really valuable service, especially because I tend to forget to check flight times.<\/p>\n<p>However, it would be a much more valuable service if you were to make such calls more than an hour before the originally scheduled departure time.<\/p>\n<p>Say I check online a couple hours before the flight and confirm that my flight is on time. I go to the airport. I arrive at the terminal an hour before my flight, as you recommend.
