(Large image.)<\/li>\n<li>Article about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/tech\/news\/2003-06-19-movies-cover_x.htm\">the growing influence of fan sites on moviemakers<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mydejaview.com\/\">Wearable video camera<\/a> (cute li'l thing that clips onto your glasses) that keeps track of the last 30 seconds of stuff you've seen; when you press the Record button, it saves the current 30 seconds of video to a compact flash card.  In case that wasn't clear, let me repeat it: when you press the button, the most recent 30 seconds of what you've been looking at (<em>before<\/em> you pressed the button) gets saved.  I don't know that I would ever use it, but I find the concept astonishingly cool.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ojr.org\/ojr\/uploads\/1056011147.htm\">Mark Glaser's guide to the blogosphere<\/a> provides a cute chart of influential blogs, organized on two axes: liberal vs. conservative (he acknowledges indirectly that this ignores libertarianism, which is a big part of the blogosphere, but anyway) on one axis, journalism-like vs blog-like on the other.<\/li>\n<li>Wacky <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nightshadebooks.com\/discus\/messages\/378\/824.html?1056478558\">complaint<\/a> that JJA and GVG at <cite>F&amp;SF<\/cite> reject stories too quickly; they couldn't possibly be reading the whole story, says \"Nameless Author.\"  Discussion ensues, including postings from JJA, GVG, and Ellen Datlow.<\/li>\n<li>I got that last item from Scott Reilly's new speculative-fiction newslog <a href=\"http:\/\/www.write-hemisphere.com\/\">Write Hemisphere<\/a>, which I like quite a bit (nice work, Scott!)&#8212;clean design, interesting and timely news, and <strike>quotes from ME ME ME!<\/strike> market information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Okay, that's about enough of that, I think.
