{"id":12664,"date":"2010-01-04T01:51:11","date_gmt":"2010-01-04T09:51:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2010\/01\/04\/12664.html"},"modified":"2010-01-04T01:51:11","modified_gmt":"2010-01-04T09:51:11","slug":"gay-and-orthodox","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/2010\/01\/04\/gay-and-orthodox\/","title":{"rendered":"Gay and Orthodox (Jewish)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A couple of weeks ago, Yeshiva University held a panel discussion on \"Being Gay in the Orthodox World.\"<\/p>\n<p>Shmuel has put together an excellent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.syaross.org\/misc\/gaypanel\/\">page<\/a> of links and resources related to the panel, including transcripts, videos, responses, and rebuttals to the responses.<\/p>\n<p>I was hesitant to link to the transcripts and such when Shmuel first pointed to them, because there had been a request that the event not be recorded. But I gather that three of the four panelists have now indicated that they're okay with the material being publicized.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/8356037\">third panelist<\/a> is an especially compelling and entertaining speaker.
