{"id":13414,"date":"2010-11-11T21:04:40","date_gmt":"2010-11-12T05:04:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2010\/11\/11\/13414.html"},"modified":"2010-11-11T21:04:40","modified_gmt":"2010-11-12T05:04:40","slug":"missing-parents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/2010\/11\/11\/missing-parents\/","title":{"rendered":"Missing parents"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Today would have been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2006\/03\/07\/3428.html\">my father<\/a>'s 71st birthday.<\/p>\n<p>It's also the 30th anniversary of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2005\/08\/17\/3065.html\">my mother<\/a>'s death.<\/p>\n<p>I was mostly fine today&mdash;a little out of it, a little glum, a little low-energy, but I chalked that up to still being sick and short on sleep.<\/p>\n<p>But I'm kinda sad this evening. Though having dinner helped.<\/p>\n<p>Kam's coming over at some point, and maybe we'll watch a movie or something, and I have some editing to do. And I ought to try to get some sleep again.<\/p>\n<p>(Pattern lately: go to bed earlyish, spend a couple hours coughing and unable to sleep, NyQuil or other OTC meds finally kick in, sleep for four hours or so, wake up, lie around in a daze until I manage to get out of bed.)<\/p>\n<p>.&nbsp;.&nbsp;.&nbsp;.
