{"id":13468,"date":"2010-12-04T01:13:20","date_gmt":"2010-12-04T09:13:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2010\/12\/04\/13468.html"},"modified":"2010-12-04T01:13:20","modified_gmt":"2010-12-04T09:13:20","slug":"i-flip-my-latkes-in-the-air-so","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/2010\/12\/04\/i-flip-my-latkes-in-the-air-so\/","title":{"rendered":"I flip my latkes in the air sometimes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At the latke party tonight, I was wondering why they were playing &ldquo;<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/album\/dynamite\/id373808864?i=373808889\">Dynamite<\/a>,&rdquo; by Taio Cruz, a popular song with a catchy tune that I hear on the radio now and then.<\/p>\n<p>And then I listened closer to the lyrics and realized that it was not exactly the same song.<\/p>\n<p>Turns out it was a song called &ldquo;Candlelight,&rdquo; by a group called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maccabeats.com\/\">The Maccabeats<\/a>&mdash;an a cappella group from Yeshiva University. It's a Hanukkah song to the tune of &ldquo;Dynamite.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Fun and (of course) catchy.
