(But it might end up going to a popular vote afterward. But polling indicates majority support for equality.) [Added a week later: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2011\/02\/25\/13620.html\">a new poll contradicts the previous one<\/a>. Hard to know who's right about this.]<\/li>\n  <li>It could still <a href=\"http:\/\/www.skidmorenews.com\/op-ed\/will-gay-marriage-survive-state-legislature-1.2006038\">happen in New York<\/a>, but prospects seem relatively dim. (But polling indicates majority support for equality.)<\/li>\n  <li>It could be <a href=\"http:\/\/goqnotes.com\/10080\/iowa-marriage-repeal-far-from-done\/\">repealed in Iowa<\/a> (but that won't happen for a while, if ever, and polling indicates majority support for equality).<\/li>\n  <li>It could be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thenewamerican.com\/index.php\/culture\/family\/6372-hundreds-turn-out-for-same-sex-marriage-hearing-in-nh\">repealed in New Hampshire<\/a> (but that won't happen for a while, if ever, and polling indicates majority support for equality).<\/li>\n  <li>It could <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boston.com\/news\/local\/rhode_island\/articles\/2011\/02\/09\/ri_house_committee_to_consider_gay_marriage_bill_1297286938\/\">happen in Rhode Island<\/a> sometime soonish. (And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.glad.org\/current\/pr-detail\/poll-majority-supports-marriage-equality-in-rhode-island\/\">polling indicates majority support<\/a> for equality.)<\/li>\n  <li>Indiana and Wyoming <a href=\"http:\/\/sdgln.com\/news\/2011\/02\/18\/news-analysis-winning-battle-marriage-equality-one-state-at-time\">may enact more stringent bans<\/a> than they already have. (I don't know anything about polling in those states, but I suspect they don't have majority support for equality. Still, a <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/2011\/02\/17\/wyoming-anti-gay-marriage-bill\/\">Republican state Senator<\/a> in Wyoming is opposed to the steps the state legislature is taking.
