{"id":14040,"date":"2012-03-30T09:30:30","date_gmt":"2012-03-30T16:30:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2012\/03\/30\/14040.html"},"modified":"2012-03-30T09:30:30","modified_gmt":"2012-03-30T16:30:30","slug":"fogcon-in-bay-area-this-weeken","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/2012\/03\/30\/fogcon-in-bay-area-this-weeken\/","title":{"rendered":"FOGcon in Bay Area this weekend!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I keep forgetting to post about the fact that <a href=\"http:\/\/fogcon.org\/\">FOGcon<\/a>, a new-as-of-last-year Bay Area speculative fiction convention, is this weekend in Walnut Creek, easily accessible by BART.<\/p>\n<p>For those who haven't heard of it, FOGcon is &ldquo;a literary-themed [...] con in the tradition of Wiscon and Readercon&rdquo; This year's theme is The Body.<\/p>\n<p>The &ldquo;Honored Guests&rdquo; this year are Nalo Hopkinson and Shelley Jackson, but the latter will be <a href=\"http:\/\/fogcon.org\/2012\/03\/shelley-jackson-virtual-honored-guest\/\">attending only virtually<\/a>. But Nalo will be there in person.<\/p>\n<p>Other attendees will include <a href=\"http:\/\/fogcon.org\/about-fogcon\/attendees\/\">a bunch of other cool people<\/a>.
