I was happy to grant such permission, but first I went back and re-read that particular column, which I probably haven't looked at in five years.  I have no idea what drugs I was on when I wrote it, but they were awfully silly ones.  Either that or I was very sleep-deprived.  Some of the lines are a little forced, but (I suppose it's immodest to confess) a couple of others still make me laugh.
