{"id":14463,"date":"2013-03-31T21:57:00","date_gmt":"2013-04-01T04:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2013\/03\/31\/14463.html"},"modified":"2013-03-31T21:57:00","modified_gmt":"2013-04-01T04:57:00","slug":"zombie-breaths","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/2013\/03\/31\/zombie-breaths\/","title":{"rendered":"Zombie breaths"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I was driving back from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sccgov.org\/sites\/parks\/Maps%20Here\/Pages\/Uvas-Canyon-County-Park.aspx\">Uvas Canyon County Park<\/a> this evening and found myself behind an SUV that had a bumper sticker indicating that it was an anti-zombie combat vehicle, plus a &ldquo;<a href=\"http:\/\/zombie-revolution.tumblr.com\/post\/46117505517\">Zombie Outbreak Response Team<\/a>&rdquo; biohazard sticker.<\/p>\n<p>And then I noticed the lyrics to the Sweet Honey in the Rock song that was playing on my car stereo:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"stanza\">\n<p>Those who have died have never never left;<\/p>\n<p>The dead are not under the earth.<\/p>\n<p>They are in the rustling trees; they are in the groaning woods;<\/p>\n<p>They are in the crying grass; they are in the moaning rocks;<\/p>\n<p>The dead are not under the earth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It had never occurred to me before to think of &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/album\/breaths\/id2565933?i=2565872\">Breaths<\/a>&rdquo; as a scary zombie song.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, the amusing coincidence was not compounded by an actual zombie attack.
