Each time, I've thought \"No, no, no, that's spelled <span class=\"word-as-word\">wrack<\/span>; why didn't a proofreader catch this?\"<\/p>\n<p>But then I went and looked it up, and found that both spellings are synonymous; and furthermore, that <span class=\"word-as-word\">wrack<\/span> in this sense seems to have appeared later than <span class=\"word-as-word\">rack<\/span> in this sense.<\/p>\n<p>So I was just plain wrong.
