{"id":15211,"date":"2016-02-24T09:39:30","date_gmt":"2016-02-24T17:39:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2016\/02\/24\/15211.html"},"modified":"2016-02-24T09:39:30","modified_gmt":"2016-02-24T17:39:30","slug":"member-assistant-fund-small-do","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/2016\/02\/24\/member-assistant-fund-small-do\/","title":{"rendered":"Member Assistance Fund: Small donations welcome!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I posted yesterday offering to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2016\/02\/23\/15210.html\">match donations<\/a> to the WisCon Member Assistant Fund, to help people attend WisCon when they can't afford it.<\/p>\n<p>Today I want to emphasize one specific aspect of this fundraising campaign: we welcome donations of any size. $15 donations, $10 donations, $5 donations&mdash;anything you can afford will help. (And whatever the size of your donation, my matching donation will double it!)<\/p>\n<p>The community met last week's awesome matching challenge; thank you to all who contributed. As Chris W. <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.wiscon.info\/2016\/02\/matching-donation-reaches-its-goal\/\">noted in the WisCon blog<\/a> at the time:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Another notable thing about this fund drive is that many of the donations were in the $10-$15 range. All donations add up! You absolutely don&#8217;t have to make &#8220;big&#8221; donations of $100, $500, or whatever dollars to make a difference.
