{"id":15653,"date":"2018-01-03T11:19:40","date_gmt":"2018-01-03T19:19:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2018\/01\/03\/15653.html"},"modified":"2023-04-02T14:16:14","modified_gmt":"2023-04-02T21:16:14","slug":"wanderjahr-journal-ported-to-b","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/2018\/01\/03\/wanderjahr-journal-ported-to-b\/","title":{"rendered":"Wanderjahr journal ported to blog format"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>I&#8217;ve converted my 1996-1997 Wanderjahr travelogue into a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/wander\/\">blog<\/a>, using the new site design supplied by Clockpunk Studios.<\/p>\r\n<p>I did this as a smallish self-contained project to prepare for porting the rest of my content to the new sites. Went pretty smoothly overall. While I was at it, I replaced all the old images with better versions, and added a couple dozen more photos that I had never previously posted, and corrected some typos; but aside from such changes, this is the same material that&#8217;s been in my online Wanderjahr journal for the past twenty years.<\/p>\r\n<p>If you take a look, let me know if you run into any problems or errors. Also, feel free to post comments on entries, now that that&#8217;s possible.<\/p>\r\n<p>If any of you want your names or other info redacted from the People page, let me know.<\/p>\r\n<p>Don&#8217;t click the Kith bookmark\/banner at the upper right; that&#8217;s not set up yet.<\/p>\r\n<p>This isn&#8217;t the final URL of the site; that&#8217;ll change sometime in the next couple months, when I get everything else ported. But it&#8217;ll do for now.<\/p>\r\n<p>Thanks much to Jeremy and Jenn for their site design!<\/p>\r\n<p>I haven&#8217;t yet added redirects, so the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/logos\/wander\/\">old pages<\/a> are still in place.
