And am accountably groggy this morning.<\/p>\n<p>Assorted other stuff:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Congratulations to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.benjaminrosenbaum.com\/journal\/2003_12_18.html\">Noah Jonathan Rosenbaum<\/a> on your arrival on Earth!  Hope you enjoy your stay.  (For those who missed it, btw, in addition to that announcement Ben also recently posted an old <a href=\"http:\/\/www.benjaminrosenbaum.com\/journal\/2003_08_03.html\">hitherto unposted entry<\/a> featuring an amusing and accurate description of Mary Anne, among other things.)<\/li>\n<li>We in the <cite>SH<\/cite> fiction department are now open to subs again (and now paying 5 cents\/word).  We've had twelve so far this morning, including one that we bounced immediately for being too long.  (Length guidelines are generally flexible, but if you're submitting something over the maximum given in a magazine's guidelines, it's a good idea to query first, or at least acknowledge in your cover letter that you know it's longer than the guidelines allow for.)<\/li>\n<li>I don't do resolutions, but if I did, I think my main one for 2004 would be to get more sleep than I did in 2003.  I'm hoping that one will be relatively easily attainable.  I'm also hoping that the god of irony isn't reading my journal.<\/li>\n<li>I thought I had more to say here, but apparently not.
