No mention of her notebook anywhere in here.]<\/p>\r\n<p>[Character name] puts away her notebook.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>[Yes, I understand that it would be possible to construct a rationale for why this made sense or was a clever hint toward something or whatever. In this particular case, it\u2019s none of those things; it\u2019s just an error.]<\/p>\r\n<p>I mention this because I\u2019ve been seeing this kind of accidental repetition a <em>lot<\/em> lately, in work published in 2017, and it\u2019s a good reminder to me that it\u2019s not a new phenomenon.<\/p>\r\n<p>It\u2019s the sort of thing that it\u2019s very easy for an author to miss. So, fellow editors, I make this appeal to you: Please keep an eye out for it.
