I'm particularly amused by this recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/newsArticle.jhtml?type=entertainmentNews&storyID=4614030\">item from Reuters<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Zombies Push Jesus from Top of North American Box Office<\/h3>\n<p>The combined might of Jesus and Mel Gibson was no match for a plague of ravenous zombies at the weekend box office in North America.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In other (unrelated) movie news, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/life\/movies\/news\/2004-03-21-smith_x.htm\">this just in from Kevin Smith<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>[<cite>Jersey Girl<\/cite> is] not that far removed from <cite>Chasing Amy.<\/cite> [It's] kind of the same thing, except we swap out the lesbian for a 7-year-old girl, which is probably illegal in some states.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m often amused by the headlines and phrasing of news items about weekend box-office results.
