Dunno. Yesterday morning on the way to work, medium-bland sort of mood, which dissolved into about five minutes of euphoria as the sun shone through my car window and I started singing \"Grasshoppers Three\" and then \"Gaudeamus Hodie\" with a wide grin. Followed by maudlin sadness for about a minute as I pulled into the parking lot. Mild ups and downs all day.<\/p>\n
Today, relatively even keel until midafternoon, when Cheryl Wheeler's \"Arrow<\/a>\" started running through my head for no obvious reason; and though it's one of my favorite songs, it's a sad and wistful song, and sank me into a generally glum mood. And then Nao sent me a cute little tidbit from McSweeney's:<\/cite> \"Names Considered and Rejected by the Software Company 'Cisive' While Looking for Something in the Style of 'Teligent' and 'Genuity'<\/a>,\" which was just the thing to make me laugh; a one-joke piece, but it's a good joke, one I wish I'd thought of. It would be an even better joke if the company's name were in fact \"Teligent\" rather than, say, \"Taligent.\"<\/p>\n In unrelated news, since Thanksgiving my lips have been very dry. I gather that this happens to people all the time, but it's never happened to me before; or rather, it's always before meant that I'm dehydrated, so I've been drinking plenty of water, but it hasn't gone away.
