Congratulations to all three excellent publications, but especially to Cheryl 'cause I don't know if anyone associated with the others reads my journal.

There are a bunch of other winners and runners-up listed in the other categories, of course; for example, Making Light won in the Best Fan Site category, with Bruce Sterling's and Jeff VanderMeer's blogs as runners-up. And I continue to be pleased at the existence of the Best Foreign-Language Site category even if I can't read the winners.

(I confess that I was a little distressed to hear that they were releasing the results of this award this morning, 'cause on my to-do list for today was to remind people to vote; my impression for the past several months has been that the deadline was July 4, and last time I checked the official page there was no indication of any other deadline. But apparently over 12,000 voters understood when the deadline was, so I must've just misunderstood.)

Alas, this doesn't seem to be SH's year for awards, reprints, etc. Ah, well, maybe next year.

The Wooden Rocket Awards have been announced several days early.
