Patrick and Karin Weekes on the birth of Garrett Jameson Weekes<\/a> early this morning.<\/p>\n Eileen Gunn on the announcement that her new short-story collection Stable Strategies and Others<\/a><\/cite> made Amazon's Best Books of 2004: Top 10 Editors' Picks: Science Fiction & Fantasy<\/a> list. (She's in good company: Stephen King, Patricia McKillip, Tad Williams, et alia.) Which reminds me obliquely that I briefly met the Tachyon Publications<\/a> guy, Jacob, at WFC; I had seen him around at cons, but somehow never quite connected him to Tachyon, or realized that Tachyon had published various cool books<\/a>, including Eileen's and the new Tiptree anthology<\/a>.<\/p>\n That paragraph got a little out of control. All I really meant to say was: congratulations to all concerned!
