Parts of this are kinda meanspirited and parts can be construed as anti-religious, but overall pretty funny. (Thanks, Luke!)<\/li>\n<li>An excellent page with lots of photos of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dself.dsl.pipex.com\/MUSEUM\/TRANSPORT\/motorwhl\/motorwhl.htm\">monowheels<\/a>, from Victorian times to present.  (A monowheel being a vehicle consisting of \"one big wheel with rider and engine (if any) INSIDE its circumference.\") Beware of gerbilling! (Thanks, Aaron!)<\/li>\n<li>Bathsheba Grossman is \"an artist exploring the region between art and mathematics\"; she does amazing metal sculptures, from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bathsheba.com\/sculpt2\/\">abstract art<\/a> to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bathsheba.com\/math\/menger\/index.html\">Menger Sponge<\/a>.  Her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bathsheba.com\/sculpt2\/process\/index.html\">technique<\/a> is remarkable: she uses 3D printing to create a model out of steel powder, then heats it to create a porous steel model, then infuses it with bronze.  She also does <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bathsheba.com\/crystal\/\">3D laser etching<\/a> in clear glass blocks, with designs like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bathsheba.com\/crystalsci\/dna\/\">DNA<\/a> and a scale model of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bathsheba.com\/crystalsci\/galaxy\/\">Milky Way galaxy<\/a>; also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bathsheba.com\/crystalprotein\/\">custom proteins<\/a>. It consists of two related parts, an archive and an essay section. As an archive, the VL offers numerous scans of texts and images concerning experiments, instruments, buildings, scientists and artists between 1830 and 1930.\"  In other words, cool old tech.  Examples: the <a href=\"http:\/\/vlp.mpiwg-berlin.mpg.de\/technology\/data?id=tec1360\">Hipp Chronoscope<\/a> and a <a href=\"http:\/\/vlp.mpiwg-berlin.mpg.de\/technology\/data?id=tec69\">Kymograph with endless paper<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Nifty <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidmalin.com\/\">astronomical photos<\/a>.
