War and rumors of war.  Sigh.<\/p>\n<p>But on the plus side, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2001\/US\/09\/17\/gen.hate.crimes\/\">Bush visited a Washington mosque<\/a>, said good things about American Muslims, and quoted the Qur'an: \"In the long run, evil in the extreme will be the end of those who do evil.\"<\/p>\n<p>As bright spots go, it's not much.
