{"id":2856,"date":"2005-05-17T11:11:21","date_gmt":"2005-05-17T18:11:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2005\/05\/17\/2856.html"},"modified":"2005-05-17T11:11:21","modified_gmt":"2005-05-17T18:11:21","slug":"cheerier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/2005\/05\/17\/cheerier\/","title":{"rendered":"Cheerier"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Am in a somewhat more cheerful mood this morning, partly due to reading the following.<\/p>\n<p>Those of you who haven't been reading <a href=\"http:\/\/notesfromthegeekshow.blogspot.com\/\">Hal Duncan's blog<\/a> ought to take a look at his recent entry \"<a href=\"http:\/\/notesfromthegeekshow.blogspot.com\/2005\/04\/homosexual-agenda.html\">The Homosexual Agenda<\/a>,\" about an attempt to pass an anti-gay bill in Alabama, and the UK's \"<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Section_28\">Section 28<\/a>\" (yow! check out the 1988 photo of Sir Ian in that Wikipedia article!).  Hal's entry includes an in-your-face anti-bigotry pro-gay proclamation that I don't completely endorse but that I nonetheless think is totally fabulous.  \"We will unleash the full force of our fury in a hissy fit the like of which you've never seen.\"<\/p>\n<p>The writers among you may also be entertained by another recent entry titled \"<a href=\"http:\/\/notesfromthegeekshow.blogspot.com\/2005\/05\/am-i-famous-yet.html\">Am I Famous Yet?<\/a>\" (about checking eBay for prices of bound proofs of his upcoming novel).<\/p>\n<p>On a completely unrelated note, if any of you have ever wanted definitions for historical (European) clothing terms, check out the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timepiecesandcrossroads.com\/glossary.htm\">Glossary of Historical Clothing Terms<\/a>.  Good stuff.
