I was just struck by what seems to me to be a resemblance between certain photos of Josef Stalin and certain photos of Amir Peretz, the leader of Israel's Labour Party.<\/p>\n<p>I don't do inclusive linking of photos, so you'll have to follow the links:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.drdance.com\/dunc\/images\/stalin2a.jpg\">Stalin photo 1<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jpfo.org\/JPFO_Stalin.jpg\">Stalin photo 2<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.portalplanetasedna.com.ar\/stalin.jpg\">Stalin photo 3<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tam.co.il\/27_5_2005\/images\/amir_peretz.jpg\">Peretz photo 1<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www3.cjad.com\/global_feeds\/CanadianPress\/WorldNews\/\/w112102A.jpg\">Peretz photo 2<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ynetnews.com\/PicServer2\/01082004\/467219\/YE0348917_a.jpg\">Peretz photo 3<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I mean, sure, Peretz has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.knesset.gov.il\/mk\/images\/members\/peretz_amir.jpg\">curlier hair and a friendlier smile<\/a>, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spiegel.de\/img\/0,1020,329567,00.jpg\">classic Stalin look<\/a> has a mustache that turns up at the ends.  Still, I do think there's a certain facial resemblance.<\/p>\n<p>But again, I do not in any way mean to imply that the two <em>people<\/em> are remotely like each other.  I know nothing at all about Peretz other than the fact of his current job; I'd never heard of him before today.
