{"id":3304,"date":"2006-01-01T17:17:16","date_gmt":"2006-01-02T01:17:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/jed\/2006\/01\/01\/3304.html"},"modified":"2006-01-01T17:17:16","modified_gmt":"2006-01-02T01:17:16","slug":"productive-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/2006\/01\/01\/productive-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Productive"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Here are some of the things I've done in the past week, in no particular order:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>finally washed some dishes<\/li>\n<li>watched <cite>Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>watched <cite>Robots<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>added two long-planned features to the magazine's submission-tracking database that should make our lives easier<\/li>\n<li>made some progress on a project I can't talk about publicly yet<\/li>\n<li>made some progress on several magazine-related to-do items that've been awaiting my attention for a very long time<\/li>\n<li>learned a little about secure web development<\/li>\n<li>created a minimal Wikipedia entry for <cite><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Strange%20Horizons\">Strange Horizons<\/cite> (it wouldn't have occurred to me to do that, but Karen suggested it, and I saw that most of the other prozines have their own entries)<\/li>\n<li>created an extremely minimal Wikipedia entry for <cite><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Realms%20of%20Fantasy\">Realms of Fantasy<\/a><\/cite>, in the hopes that more regular readers of it will provide more info<\/li>\n<li>did a heavy rewrite on ESR's recent heavy rewrite of the Wikipedia entry on <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Speculative%20fiction\">speculative fiction <\/a> (the previous version was biased in favor of speculative fiction as opposed to that icky science fiction stuff; ESR's version was, of course, biased in favor of science fiction as opposed to that icky speculative fiction stuff; I tried to create a neutral factual version)<\/li>\n<li>finished re-reading <cite>The Horse and His Boy<\/cite> and <cite>The Magician's Nephew<\/cite><\/li>\n<li>acquired six tins of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bookdarts.com\/\">book darts<\/a><\/li>\n<li>used my treadmill for the first time in (ulp) a month<\/li>\n<li>got 50.2 mpg on the drive back home from Half Moon Bay<\/li>\n<li>had almost almost no social interaction for several days (which was relaxing after the rather high level of socializing last weekend)<\/li>\n<li>bought some music I'd been waiting for for quite a while: the <a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?id=95053414&s=143441\">Broadway cast album of <cite>Pippin<\/cite><\/a> and Pat Metheny's <cite><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?id=83913616&s=143441\">Travels<\/a><\/cite>, the latter of which contains two of my three favorite Metheny pieces: \"Phase Dance\" and \"Farmer's Trust\"<\/li>\n<li>finally finished moving my bathroom towel rack up a foot<\/li>\n<li>caught up on <cite><a href=\"http:\/\/www.girlgeniusonline.com\/\">Girl Genius<\/a><\/cite>, and started to catch up on <cite><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lightspeedpress.com\/\">Finder<\/a><\/cite><\/li>\n<li>reopened <cite>SH<\/cite> to submissions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here are some of the things I&#8217;ve done in the past week, in no particular order: finally washed some dishes&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[19,80,29,44,68,5,27,26],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3304","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-books","category-comics","category-life-updates","category-movies","category-programming","category-socializing","category-speculative-fiction","category-strange-horizons"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/3304","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/5"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=3304"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/3304\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3304"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=3304"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/jed\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=3304"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
