The magazine claims Gwyneth Paltrow and Jean-Claude Van Damme are being considered for the role of Tintin, Richard Gere for the role of Captain Haddock and Courtney Love as eccentric Italian diva Bianca Castafiore.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Gwyneth Paltrow.  Jean-Claude Van Damme.  Richard Gere.  Courtney Love.  I cannot imagine any of these people in these roles.  Well, okay, Gwyneth maybe.<\/p>\n<p>~Given that kind of casting, who are they going to get to play Snowy the cute little white terrier?  Maybe the kangaroo from <cite>Kangaroo Jack?<\/cite>~<\/p>\n<p>If they put me in charge of casting, I'd go with something more like Hilary Swank as Tintin, Robert DeNiro or John Rhys-Davies as Haddock, Anjelica Huston as Castafiore.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spielberg is going to do a series of action films based (loosely, one supposes) on Tintin.
