I suppose really we should have some songs about rocket ships.  But you know, they aren't really written yet; I guess you're gonna have to write 'em.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And thus was born a generation of filkers.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, I assume most filkers never heard that remark.  But it does seem apropos.<\/p>\n<p>That made me curious about when <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rahul.net\/figmo\/consonance\/\">Consonance<\/a> (the Bay Area filk convention) was happening this year.  Turns out it was last weekend.  Ah, well, I couldn't really have gone anyway.<\/p>\n<p>I seem to have fallen completely out of touch with the world of filk again; I don't think I was even in the same building with any filk event at WorldCon.
