I\u2019m assuming that I dictated it and Laurel wrote it (so I\u2019m labeling this as the first letter \u201cfrom\u201d me to George and Helen). But I still have no idea who Laurel was. After this trip, there\u2019s one more postcard that mentions them, and then they\u2019re never mentioned again. West Nyack, New York\u201d<\/p>\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_559\" class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignright\" style=\"width: 112px\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/pmjj\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/1971\/08\/sunflower-jed-102x150.jpg\" alt=\"Jed sunflower\" width=\"102\" height=\"150\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-559\" \/><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Jed sunflower<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n<p>So the contents (below) are about Yellowstone (in Wyoming), but the photo on the card is from South Dakota, and the card was mailed from Minnesota; we were apparently making pretty quick eastward progress.<\/p>\r\n<p>Someone (presumably Laurel) also drew these little flowers in a few parts of the card, perhaps sunflowers, with Jay\u2019s name and mine and a peace symbol.<\/p>\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p>Minnesota<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"text-right\">Aug. 3<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"no-indent\">Dear Granma, Granpa, and Uncle John,<\/p>\r\n<p>I really miss you! We saw a bear at Yellowstone Pk.
