Tropism Press was founded in 2001, to publish chapbooks by Heather Shaw and Tim Pratt. The chapbooks were originally meant to be given as Christmas gifts (an idea we borrowed from Charles de Lint's similar Triskell Press endeavors). We soon discovered that some of our readers wanted copies of these chapbooks, however, so we began offering them for sale.

In 2003 we founded Flytrap, a literary zine, published twice-yearly, in November and May, more or less. After ten issues we went on a possibly permanent hiatus. Oh, well.
