Welcome to Tropism Press, home of Flytrap (the little zine with teeth), chapbooks collections, and the Holiday Chapbook Series (featuring works by your humble proprietors, Tim Pratt and Heather Shaw).

Flytrap, a twice-yearly zine publishing fine speculative and literary fiction, poetry, art, reviews, and occasional unclassifiable oddities. We published our first issue in November 2003, and took a hiatus after issue #10. Our triumphant return is imminent, with issue #11 planned to launch in February 2014. Watch this space for a new and improved website in the nearish future.

When We Were Six by Heather Shaw features six stories, including an original dark fairy tale, and is now all sold out. It premiered in May 2007 at WisCon.

Show and Tell and Other Stories by Greg van Eekhout features six stories and many illustrations by the Nebula finalist, and is available to order for just $7 (including shipping). It premiered in August 2006 at Worldcon.

Tales of the Chinese Zodiac by Jenn Reese, our first single-author collection, features 15 illustrated stories, and is available to order for just $6 (including shipping). It premiered in May 2006 at WisCon.

The Holiday Chapbook Series

The Christmas Mummy: A collaborative story by Tim Pratt & Heather Shaw, with a cover illustration by Greg van Eekhout, produced in December 2006. We didn't print many of them, and they went fast.

12 Haiku: Our fifth chapbook, also known as "The Wedding Chapbook." Contains 6 haiku by Tim Pratt and 6 haiku by Heather Shaw, with a theme of romance. Each is handbound, and they were given as favors at our wedding in October 2005. If you didn't go to the wedding, you didn't get one.

Pook's Original Miscellany. Our fourth chapbook, published in December 2004, is sold out.

Wintering Away. Our third chapbook, published December 2003, is unfortunately sold out.

Floodwater. Our second chapbook, published December 2002 in a signed and numbered limited edition of 150 copies. Now sold out! Includes stories "Wetting the Bed" by Heather Shaw, "The Heart, a Chambered Nautilus" by Tim Pratt, and collaborative story "A Serious Case of Fairies." Illustrated by artist Richard Doyle.

Living Together in Mythic Times. Our first chapbook, published December 2001, includes poems "Orpheus Among the Cabbages" by Tim Pratt, "In the Shade of You" by Heather Shaw, and collaborative story "The Ever-After Bookshop," as well as original art by Heather Shaw.
