At the time, I wrote I must remember to seek out his Random Harvest. That was about a year ago. I finally remembered to seek it out. It&#8217s wonderful.

I don&#8217t usually worry about spoilers, and I certainly don&#8217t usually worry about spoiling a sixty-year-old book, but I think this is a wonderful book, and I don&#8217t want any Gentle Reader who might possibly be considering reading it to walk into it with any more preconceived notions than she can help. I mean, it&#8217s already going to color your reading to know that it&#8217s by James Hilton (and thus is about the war, no matter what it&#8217s about) and to know that it was published in 1941. And I don&#8217t think you need to put that aside. But there&#8217s a lot going on in the book—plot, yes, but other stuff, too—and I think it&#8217s best enjoyed forwards first.

Tolerabimus quod tolerare debemus,
-Vardibidian.

In Which Your Humble Blogger really starts trying to catch up on Book Reports before the end of the year.

[194

post-10835","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-book-report
["GET
