I have similar enthusiasm for the closed party primary, which again I am aware that Gentle Readers do not, on the whole, enthuse about. You consider the poor plight of the independent voter, unwilling to commit to party registration and therefore unable to influence the narrowing of candidates. And I see that.<br \/>\n<p>But when the poor independent voter is <a href=\"http:\/\/rawstory.com\/news\/2007\/Lieberman_sad_he_cant_vote_in_0204.html\">Senator Joseph Lieberman, Asshole-CT<\/a>, well, I&#8217;m just saying.
