Heigh-ho Gentle Readers all. Your Humble Blogger is has decided to expand this Tohu Bohu a trifle; I’ll be doing an entry on each book I read as of the beginning of the year. I expect that I’ll only to a sentence or two for most books, but we’ll see which inspire me. I will be giving spoilers a-plenty; I’ll reveal the identity of the murderer, and I’ll talk about how disappointed I was that the sidekick wasn’t killed at the end. I’ll try to put something in the notes’ titles to indicate what I’m about so that the spoiler-averse can avert their eyes.\n\n

I should give props to the livejournal fifty-book challenge, where a bunch of people at that community noted down every book read, with the specific goal of reading 50 in the calendar year. I’m not doing this in an attempt to increase my reading. In fact, I suspect it will slow me down, at least in the re-reading of trash, if I have to admit to every book I open. Or at least close--I don’t intend to include books I pick up and browse through without finishing, nor even books I begin with intent, but fail to finish, tho’ of course if anything in any book catches my brain enough to suggest a note, a note it shall have. I do plan to include a note for a book even if I’f read it before, which I will indicate.\n\n

I won’t include a note for each time I re-read a book to my as-yet-illiterate perfect non-reader; there is no benefit to anyone in tracking the number of times I read There’s a Wocket in my Pocket<\/a><\/I> aloud. I’m afraid I don’t really think of those as books I<\/i> read, but as books she<\/i> reads, even though it’s me doing the actual reading. I hope I’ll be able to at least mention each new children’s book, but I won’t sweat it. I like children’s books and all, but that’s a lot of notes. Perhaps just one note a week for those. We’ll see.\n\n

I’m afraid the book reports will dominate this Tohu Bohu for a little while, until Your Humble Blogger gets back into the swing of things. Conspicuously, they are something I could write without Internet access (or much time for contemplation and cogitation), and store up, so here comes half-a-dozen of ’em. Look out below.\n\n
